In cooperation with the Department of Historical Sciences, you can learn about Japanese culture, social history and current events, totalitarianism, modern and ancient history.

Did you know that Darth Vader's suit is samurai inspired? That the witcher fighting style originated from Japanese martial arts? How do the Japanese perceive The Last Samurai? Come and listen to a talk about Japan in a pleasant library in the center of Pilsen. We give lectures for the public in a popularization form.
PRAGUE
Support flows to us even from the Czech capital - Prague. We have welcomed the Japanese ambassador to the Center several times and we are also looking forward to the favor of the Japanese Information and Cultural Center.
JAPAN INFORMATION AND CULTURAL CENTER
Since the establishment of the Center for Japanese Studies, its activities have been supported by the Japan Information and Culture Center. It is an important institution attached to the Embassy of Japan in the Czech Republic, whose aim is to spread knowledge about Japanese culture, society and history. It is equipped with an extensive library and hosts many important cultural events.
